Project Overview

Social graphics and motion for Sounds True's launch campaign for Past Forward by Clay Routledge, PhD — a book making the case that nostalgia is a tool for personal growth and community, not just sentiment. The campaign needed to feel as warm and textured as the idea itself, not like a standard book promotion.

The Work

The campaign ran across book giveaways, pull quotes, and survey statistics from the author's research organization. The visual language leaned into the subject matter — bold vintage typography, layered textures, retro color palettes, and animated elements that felt lifted from the era the book was asking people to look back on. The goal was to make nostalgia something you could feel before you read a word.
